A product/art project under IDEO's Edges initiative — a playful rubber duck available in three tiers: free open-source software (GitHub), DIY hardware (firmware, PCB, CAD files), and a waitlist for an official physical version.

The Flock — Four Colorways

Pekin — "The understated one" All-white with a soft yellow beak. "He doesn't need the spotlight, just a place beside you."

Mallard — "The wild one" The self-described "bad boy" with "an arrest record as long as a pond is wide. It's mostly bar fights." Offers "scathing judgments about your spaghetti code."

Pintail — "The mysterious one" Black and grey with a beak piercing. "Zero tolerance for bird-based BS." Wants "to get work done with zero pretense."

Classic — "The frontman" Yellow body, orange beak — "the duck to end all ducks." Called "the heart breaker and the myth maker," a "virtuoso on the keyboard."

Meta

The page includes a whimsical retraction about a "unified metaphysical entity" called Moby Duck, then deletes it: "Why? Because Moby Duck reveals himself on his own terms!"
